The Nodes screen displays all devices visible on your mesh network.
Node List
The node list shows every node your radio has heard, including:
β’ Node name β user-configured long name
β’ Short name β 4-character identifier
β’ Signal quality β last heard signal strength
β’ Last heard β time since last communication
β’ Distance β estimated distance (if positions are shared)

Node Roles
Nodes can be configured with different roles that affect their mesh behavior:

Choosing a Role
Most users should keep the default Client role. Consider a different role when:
β’ Router β You have a node in a fixed, elevated location with reliable power (rooftop, hilltop). Routers stay awake continuously to relay messages for others and are essential for extending mesh coverage. Don't use Router on battery-powered handheld devices.
Provides supplemental coverage for local clusters without competing with primary routers.
β’ Client Base β Treats traffic from/to your favorited nodes with Router Late priority (ensuring those messages get extra relay coverage) while handling everything else as a normal Client.
β’ Client Mute β You want to receive mesh traffic but not contribute to relaying. Useful for monitoring-only devices or to reduce congestion in dense areas.
β’ JΓ€lgimisseade β jΓ€relevalveta seade, mille ainus eesmΓ€rk on oma GPS asukoha levitamine (nt sΓ΅iduk, lemmikloom vΓ΅i vara). Aku sÀÀstmiseks magab saadete vahel.
β’ Sensor β An unattended device reporting environmental telemetry (temperature, humidity, air quality). Sarnane vΓ΅imsusprofiil jΓ€lgimisseadmele.
β’ TAK / TAK jΓ€lgimisseade β Vajalik ainult ATAK/WinTAK sΓΌsteemidega koostΓΆΓΆl. See TAK Integration for details.
β π‘ Tip: The mesh works best when most nodes are Client or Router. Too many Mute nodes reduces
β mesh resilience; too many Routers in a dense area can cause congestion. A good rule of thumb: one
β Router per 5β10 Clients in your area.
Encryption Indicators
Nodes display encryption status icons next to their name:

β π Lukustatud β Communication uses PKI (public key infrastructure) β end-to-end encrypted with β¦ β

β π‘ Vihje: PKI krΓΌpteering (pΓΌsivara 2,5+) pakub tugevamat turvalisust kui kanali PSK, kuna igal
β sΓ΅lmel on unikaalne vΓ΅tmepaar. If you see a key mismatch warning, the node may have been reset or
β compromised.
Quick Actions
From the node list, you can:
β’ Puuduta sΓ΅lmel, et vaadata ΓΌksikasjade lehte
β’ Long-press for quick actions:
β’ Mark/remove favorite
β’ Mute/unmute notifications
β’ Send a direct message
β’ Trace route
β’ Ignore/unignore
β’ Remove node
